Upcoming Election — August 4, 2026

PRIMARY ELECTION

Virginia has scheduled a primary election on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Primary elections choose party nominees for the November general election, including candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate.
Contests may vary depending on where you live.
Election Day Polls are open from 6 AM to 7 PM.

Anyone in line at 7 PM will be allowed to vote.

Friday, July 24 — Last day to register or update your registration and vote a regular ballot
Friday, July 24 — Last day to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you
June 18 through August 1 — Early voting in person
Tuesday, August 4 — Primary Election Day
