Join the League of Women Voters of Williamsburg Area for our Annual Meeting of the Membership. We need a quorum to conduct League business, so member attendance is important.

Individual Member: one member attending.
Two Member Household: two League members from the same household attending. Enter only one member’s name.
Member and Non-Member Friends: a member attending with one or more non-member guests. Enter only the member’s name.
Annual Meeting Business
The meeting begins with a short business portion, including election to our boards and committees, adoption of the budget, and adoption of our program for the coming year.
Program: Benefits and Challenges of Data Centers
The business meeting will be followed by a timely panel discussion on the benefits and challenges of data centers.
Meet the Panel
Delegate Shelly Simonds represents part of the City of Newport News, District 70, in the Virginia House of Delegates. A former teacher and Newport News School Board member, she serves as Vice Chair of the House Education Committee and Chair of the K-12 Subcommittee.
Louise White serves as Deputy Energy Officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia in the Office of Governor Abigail Spanberger. Her work focuses on affordable energy priorities, grid modernization, transmission development, and meeting rising electricity demand.
Megan Davis is a Senior Policy Analyst at The Commonwealth Institute, where she leads tax and budget work. Her research focuses on how Virginia’s budget and tax code can advance equity, justice, and meaningful policy change.
League member Harry Chancey will moderate the discussion.
