New Member Reception. This is your chance to find out "everything you wanted to know about the league but didn't know who to ask!" New members - even 'not so new' members - are all cordially invited to attend.

Saturday, September 20, 2008 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Williamsburg Wal-Mart store Voter Registration and Information Drive. To assist voters who are not yet registered to do so; and distribute nonpartisan voter information from the League of Women Voters.

Event will be repeated on Saturday, September 27 - same time, same place.

First District Candidates Forum. Public forum for the three candidates for U.S. House of Representatives from the First District. Moderator is Olga Hernandez, President of the League of Women Voters of Virginia.
  • Candidates include incumbent Robb Wittman (Republican), Bill Day (Democrat), and Nathan Larson (Libertarian).
  • The public is invited to attend and submit written questions to the candidates.
