  • These are workshops for league members to provide the hands-on tools needed to more effectively run our local organizations.
  • And this year, the workshops are in the Hampton Roads Area! This is the closest they have been to our league for several years.

  • Join us in celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the League of Women Voters in the US!.
  • We welcome not only current members but any person who has ever been a member, thinking about membership, or supported league activities over the years.

Thursday, September 30, 2010 8:00 am The Gazebo Restaurant, Bypass Road, Williamsburg Fall Breakfast Meeting. Meet Nancy Rodrigues, Virginia Chief Officer of Elections. Her topic for the morning: "Behind the Curtain of Democracy".

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 7:00 pm Williamsburg Library Theater, Scotland Street Candidates Forum for First District Virginia.
  • Meet the three candidates running for U.S. Representative from the First Virginia District: Rob Wittman (R), Krystal Ball (D), and Gail Parker (IG).
  • Our moderator will pose questions to the candidates during the first part of the forum. Written questions from the audience will be asked in the second part
  • Free and open to the public

Monday, October 18, 2010-Friday, October 22, 2010 Various William and Mary School of Law 2010 Women's Law Week.
  • The Women's Law Society and the LWVWA join the law school in sponsoring a week long series of events recognizing women in the legal profession. Hear distinguished speakers, as well as several panel discussions.
  • The public is invited; no registrations are required.
